No one has done a better job of keeping people up to speed on the events in Honduras than Fausta.

You're very welcome! And thank YOU for being so tenacious on this story. I've enjoyed reading your blog for awhile now, long before the Honduras story broke. Love those tango videos! :)

It was disheartening to hear the State Dept.'s statement earlier today that they will be working with the OAS to try and "restore Constitutional order" in Honduras. They can't get their heads around the fact that a coup was averted. It's either willful ignorance a Marxist mindset, I haven't come to a conclusion on that yet.

Did I hear it right early in the Honduras "coup" that the Honduran Supreme Court actually issued an order to depose Zelaya?

In any event, this doesn't look to me like a classic military coup d'etat in which the constitutionally elected government is replaced with a military junta. The army followed the court's ruling and replaced Zelaya with the successor prescribed by the constitution.

If you had been following along on Fausta's blog you would know every jot and tiddle of the situation. :) I think you better go get caught up!

The army was carrying out an order issued by the Supreme Court, and they had the approval of Congress and the AG.

This is institutional democracy working and the rest of the world is fixated on the status of the guy who was trying to make himself El Presidente for life.

US state-run media is in the bag for the guy, too. Check this post at Gateway Pundit.

By the way, you being a hotshot techie - can you explain how to create a link in blogger? Thank you. :)
