Another lamentable thing about the demise of Connecticut Opera is budding artists have one less place to display their art and hone their skills. Sarah was a resident artist at Connecticut Opera for awhile. In her role as Despina in Cosi Fan Tutti she received the biggest ovations, even though the other principal singers were well known stars in the opera world. The role of Despina may lend itself to that, it requires a flair for comedy, which Sarah has an abundance of in addition to her wonderful voice. This is from the orchestra dress rehearsal. Of course, she is holding back a little, to save her voice for the Opening Performance.
